Earthing & Grounding – Between Symbol and Body

I walked barefoot through the forest for a long time.

Not on principle.
Not because it was a trend.

But because it felt good.

I still do it today.

Weather doesn't play a major role.

Barefoot on the floor

Contact with Earth changes something.

The ground is uneven.
Cold.
Moist.
Sometimes it's tough.

The body must react.

The focus automatically shifts to the feet.
Into the step.
Into the moment.

Walking barefoot is not a technique.
It is immediate perception.

Touching trees

Sometimes I touch trees.

Place your hand on the bark.
Or the forehead.

Not as a result of a spiritual ritual,
but from a need for contact.

A tree does not react.
He doesn't judge.
He demands nothing.

He's simply there.

And sometimes that's enough.

Symbol or regulation?

Whether there are measurable effects,
That's secondary for me.

What I know:
My body becomes calmer.

Not always spectacular.
Not immediately.

But noticeably.

Perhaps because my system receives clear, unambiguous stimuli.
Perhaps because nature is less complex than spaces full of people.
Perhaps simply because I'm getting slower.

Not everything needs to be fully explainable,
to be effective.

Today

I will continue to walk barefoot through the forest.
Not every day.
Not as an obligation.

If it fits.

Grounding is no longer a concept for me.
It is a moment of contact.

With the ground.
With the body.
With this.
